legal-and-settlement
What does my solicitor do?
Your solicitor advises on the legal process, prepares or reviews the sale and purchase agreement and helps manage conditions and settlement.
A solicitor can advise you about title, disclosure, conditions, agreement wording, signing and settlement. They can also explain what you need to do and what risks may arise from a proposed term.
FiSBO captures solicitor contact details in the offer workflow so the parties know who to involve. FiSBO does not replace that independent legal relationship and does not tell you what legal decision to make.
Contact your solicitor before making an unconditional commitment, waiving a condition or signing an agreement. Give them enough time to review the complete facts.
